Shree Cement Ltd said on Monday that it has commissioned its new 18 MW captive thermal power plant today. The project has been set up at village Ras, District Pali, Rajasthan. With this, the company has become self sufficient in meeting its power requirement, Shree Cement said.

In addition, the company has commenced cement production from its Unit-IV of 1.5 Million Ton Per Annum (MTPA) Capacity Cement Plant today. With the commissioning of this unit, the actual production capacity of the company has gone up, to 6 MTPA.
